Glen Knight Septic
Our History
In 1969 Glen Knight decided to expand his trucking business to include the pumping of septic tanks. By the mid 70’s his customers were asking for Septic-Systems and Sanitary Sewer Installations so he decided to buy a backhoe. It was in this time frame that sons Randy and Garry started working full time in the business. Garry pumped tanks and Randy operated the backhoe. As the business continued to grow Glen bought a larger piece of property (where the business operates from today), and built a new shop and office. At this point daughter Nancy took over the phone answering and office duties. As time passed additional equipment and portable toilet rentals were added. In 2002 Glen added a Self Storage Rental business on a new property in Ruthven Ontario.
Glen passed away in June 2009 but Randy, Garry and Nancy continue to operate the business and have added, a new Septic Tank Pumper, a Camera Drain Service and High Pressure Sewer Jetting Service. Glen Knight & Sons also does Full Septic Tank Inspections. They no longer supply Porta-Johns, but continue with their Self Storage Rental business in Ruthven Ontario.
